We collect the information you provide in your application, including your contact details, age range, location, experiences of midlife changes, supplement use and participation preferences.

Some answers contain health information, including information about menopause, symptoms, medicines, allergies and suitability for participation.

If you join the programme, we also collect information needed to arrange deliveries, support your participation and record your check-ins, survey responses and feedback.

How do we use your information?

We use your information to:

  • Assess your application and suitability for the programme.
  • Select a balanced group of participants.
  • Contact you about your application and, if selected, manage your participation.
  • Arrange product deliveries and programme communications.
  • Respond to questions or concerns.
  • Understand participants' experiences and use their feedback to improve our products, information and support.

Application and programme feedback are used for internal learning and will not be published. We will only use identifiable testimonials, photographs or videos publicly if you give separate, specific permission.

Our basis for using your information

We ask for your consent to use your application and programme information for the purposes described above. We ask for your explicit consent to process the health information you provide.

Marketing communications and public use of testimonials, photographs or videos require separate permission. These choices do not affect selection for the programme.

Who can access your information?

Access is limited to authorised FemmeBiome team members and service providers who need it for their work. Health information is restricted to those who need it to assess suitability, support participation or review feedback.

Service providers may include our application, CRM, email, survey, hosting and delivery providers. Delivery providers receive only the information needed to deliver your products.

How long do we keep your information?

We retain your application and programme information for 12 months from application submission. After this, it is securely deleted.

If you separately subscribe to marketing updates, we retain the information needed for those updates until you unsubscribe, subject to our wider privacy policy.

Your choices and rights

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting info@femmebiome. This does not affect the lawfulness of how we used your information before you withdrew consent.

If you withdraw consent to processing information needed to assess your application or support your participation, we may be unable to continue your application or participation.

Depending on the circumstances, you have rights to access your information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, and receive a portable copy.

You can also make a complaint to Ireland's Data Protection Commission at www.dataprotection.ie.
