Cork, 18 October 2026 — A women’s health company led by University College Cork Professor Siobhain O’Mahony is putting women’s biology at the heart of its approach to developing products, beginning with perimenopause and menopause.
FemmeBiome today announces its MoreMe Pioneer programme as the company prepares to introduce its first product in 2027.
The Pioneer programme, planned to begin in January 2027, will involve 250 selected women, each receiving a three-month supply of MoreMe and providing feedback directly to the FemmeBiome team.
With roots in University College Cork and APC Microbiome Ireland, FemmeBiome draws on more than 20 years of research into how the microbiome, gut and brain interact. Neuroscience provides the foundation for a wider ambition: to develop products around women’s biology and their changing needs through life.
Professor Siobhain O’Mahony, Founder and CEO of FemmeBiome, said: "We’ve built FemmeBiome around the belief that there is science behind feeling like yourself. Women’s biology is our starting point, and our vision is to translate our understanding of the microbiome, gut and brain into products developed around women’s health. MoreMe is our first step towards that vision. The Pioneer programme is a major milestone and an opportunity to understand how MoreMe fits into women’s everyday lives."
MoreMe is a food supplement developed for women navigating perimenopause and menopause, taken in a daily capsule with a companion sachet of fibre.
The programme will involve 250 selected women, each receiving a three-month supply of MoreMe and providing structured feedback directly to the FemmeBiome team. Their experiences will help inform customer information, the support offered to customers and preparations for commercial launch.
Women interested in taking part can visit femmebiome.com and select “Get Involved”. Eligibility criteria apply, and an application does not guarantee a place. Participation and selection details will be available on the website.
